Typical Sash Window Draftseal Restoration

You can choose a whole restoration or partial restoration. Each part of the process has a documented price list.

• Strip out window
• Remove all stop beadings
• Removeall parting beads
• Remove sashes, check and secure alljoins, or replace with new sashes
• Remove all old rusty hardware from sashes
• Restore old pulleys or completely replace with new chrome or brass pulleys for effortless, smooth sliding silent windows
• Remove all glass and replace with new glass
• Repair any rotten timber frames
• Prepare timber frames by scraping and sanding thoroughly
• Machine End cap seals to top and bottom rails of sashes
• Machine acoustic seal to meeting rail
• Check meeting rails meet correctly, check sashes run smoothly
• Balance counterweight system for correctly balanced and safe windows
• Add any weight required
• Install quality traditional cotton sash cord or spiral balances
• Install sashes , new red cedar stop and parting beadings with 5mm acoustic seal machined and set correctly for smooth running windows and allow for painting
• Install new gleaming quality window hardware, sash locks sash lifts in chrome, satin chrome or brass.
